Pause To Breathe: The 2AM Scroll
Editor | DaVinci Resolve & After Effects
For this mental wellness segment, I edited The 2AM Scroll, where Fatimah reflects on her late-night scrolling habits and the emotional fatigue caused by digital consumption. The second segment features a conversation with youth guests, Amirra and Arina, discussing digital overload and unhealthy scrolling patterns.
In DaVinci Resolve, I shaped the pacing to reflect the quiet, isolating mood of a 2AM scroll. I added background music to enhance emotional depth and carefully adjusted audio levels to ensure clarity while maintaining an intimate tone.
I also created a custom stinger transition in After Effects to introduce the guest conversation, adding a polished and dynamic broadcast feel to the edit. The transition helped separate segments smoothly while maintaining visual consistency.
Fun Facts Yishun Edition
Editor | DaVinci Resolve & After Effects
A silent, visually-driven informational video highlighting unique facts about Yishun. As a no-audio project, the storytelling relied entirely on pacing, motion graphics, and typography to maintain engagement.
Edited in DaVinci Resolve, I structured the sequence for clarity and rhythm, ensuring each fact was concise, visually dynamic, and easy to follow. Strong emphasis was placed on visual hierarchy and timing to replace traditional audio cues.
I designed and animated a custom pineapple stinger transition in After Effects to create brand personality and seamless segment separation. To enhance readability and accessibility, I incorporated structured subtitle boxes with clear typographic hierarchy.
The final edit was refined through iterative feedback from NLB and peers, strengthening flow, clarity, and overall visual impact.
This project demonstrates my ability to craft engaging content without relying on sound, while integrating motion graphics and feedback-driven improvements into a polished final piece.
